Education, Work Experience & Research

An integrated profile of academic training, policy, practice, and applied research.

Education

I obtained my PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, supported by a Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I pursued my MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where I was awarded the LSE-India Scholarship. I have an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Delhi.

Work Experience

I have close to 12 years of work experience in the public policy and governance domain, working both directly and indirectly with the Government of India and multilateral agencies on highly pressing, demanding and critical issues such as regulation of Foreign Direct Investments in the country, preparing legal documents for the implementation of mega infrastructure projects on public-private partnership mode, and presently on issues of energy transition. My work experience spans from working on projects with the National Bureau of Asian Research, Washington, D.C. and the Asian Development Bank to several renowned think tanks in India.

Research

My overall research interests have a broad spectrum spanning from emerging issues in public policy in India, policy analysis, regulation and governance aspects, and policy communication that largely fall in the academic disciplines of political science, public administration, and law. Within the field of public policy, my research areas at present are energy transition and universal energy access, i.e., SDGs 7 and other related UN goals that are directly and indirectly related to SDG 7. My research has mostly been applied in nature, with over 100+ projects and 20+ reports and policy documents.
